Following up On Family

Location: Chicago

Kelly stood outside the house she grew up in. Behind her, her three brothers, one older, two younger stood silent. “And none of you have heard from her in months?” she asked again.

“Look Kells…” Henry, the eldest said “Jacs is like that at times, She is a teenager.”

“She is 16 and living with our father… and his whore.” Jeffery added. “And its not like they will let her use the phone…”

Kelly spun on them. She knew if she yelled at them that they should have tried harder to get Jac out, it would rebound. She snapped her fingers and the black van on the street’s sliding door opened and a number of men dressed in black exited it. They carried holstered weapons. One ran up to Kelly and said “And?”

“Tear it apart” she said coldly. “Find out what they know.”

Then she stepped back and watched as the team of SHIELD agents burst into the house, causing shouts and the screams of their fathers wife.

Several hours later the team finished and Kelly and Henry stood between their younger brothers and their now very angry father who was loosing his shit at them. Louis was beyond pissed. “HOW DARE YOU!”

“How dare I? Where is Jaclyn Father?” Kelly asked coldly. “Where is our sister?”

“She ran away. And we have been looking!”

“oh? Really? One police report, a couple of interesting posters around the neighborhood. No actual search has been conducted. In fact I have it from the police chief that you refused to go national with her being a missing person.” Kelly replied, she looked past her father to his wife who was standing holding her newborn child. An infant boy. “And I believe Yasmin had something to do with it. I have court orders for DNA swabs and fingerprinting. I will be looking for Jaclyn and if I find that your slut, had something to do with it? I will charge her and make sure she goes to jail.” She paused and pulled a document from her back pocket. And handed it over to their father.

Louis read it and glared at her. “WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!?!”

“A financial Audit. Of our mother’s will, My brother’s trusts, Jaclyn’s bank account and yours. I have commenced proceedings for all money you have taken illegally to be replaced. Not 2 days ago, you withdrew 10,000 stating it was for car repairs for Jaclyns’ car. When she has been missing for months.” Kelly replied coldly. “And when I find her, you better pray she is alive.”

So saying, she turned and with her brothers left their father standing there on the grass out the front of their old house.
