Physical Description | Finnegan, or Finn as his closest friend call him, is slowly approaching his thirties and it is starting to show. Mostly around his belly at least. He has been trying to combat this with Tai Chi, not to mention the Wing chun he had learned as a kid. While he didn’t lose his left leg in an accident with a drunk driver, it was broken in three places, including a trimalleolar fracture. His left arm was broken in two locations and a long scar runs along his back and several more on his side. Most of the winter he has to walk with a cane. He wears a brace on his left leg to keep it in place. While his arm is close to it's old strength, all of his old wounds still hurt when it gets cold or rainy. His hair is not kept at short, instead he lets it grow out, sometimes letting it get to where it touches his collar. He normally keeps his facial hair neatly trimmed with a beard and mustache. Rarely is he seen out of nice dress pants and a black shirt, unless he has to for work. His green eyes seemed to have lost their shine and wrinkles are starting to show on him. |

Personality & Traits
General Overview | Finn is a very religious person. Which is why he is still an ordained minister. He loves to read and learn things. While he was in the hospital learning to walk again, he poured through many books ranging from religion, to fiction, to the paranormal. Even with his family and faith, he can fall into depression. Normally it is helping of others that he finds his happiness. He rarely mentions his father's family, as they seem to hate him and his siblings. Like many of the cloth, he is laid back but outgoing. Unlike many, he tries to not judge on sexuality or political differences. Finn is a live and let live kind of person. |
|
Strengths & Weaknesses | Strengths: + Finn is smart and will pick up a some things really fast + Lots of knowledge on religion and some paranormal stuff (if it is tied to religion) + Friendly and helpful + wonderful cook + licensed as ordained minister and to drive class A vehicles in the state of Connecticut + lots of contacts to many churches along the Eastern Seaboard Weaknesses - All bones broken in his major wreck hurt when the weather turns bad. - Wears a brace on left leg - Not in prime physical shape - Nightmares can keep him up at night - Still reeling from the loss of his wife. |
Ambitions | To get over the loss of his wife. To prove to his extended family that he wasn’t a waste of space (A doctorate has not managed to do that so far) Maybe to get locked into a large library for a month so he can read in peace | |
Hobbies & Interests | Finn is a lover of books. All kinds and you can normally find him with one nearby. If he is driving, he may be listening to an audio-book. While he can drive and he does so professionally, now a days if he is on a trip with others, Finn is content to sit in the back, so he can read for the trip. He also loves music, mostly old rock 50’s to the 70’s. Plus a big band and music from crooners like Dean Martin, musicals from both movies and Broadway recordings. And as one would expect, he also likes older gospel music. He loves to cook and when he was married he did all the cooking in the house. Personal History | Finnegan was born to two very happy, very rich people. His parents were both hard working. His father was great at playing the stock market. His mother had inherited wealth. They moved to just outside New Haven Connecticut. His mother was highly religious, hence his name. Each had money from their own family. Together they managed to expand on what they had. When he was born, they had amassed a small fortune, above a billion dollars. They waited almost twenty years till they had their first child. When Gabriel was born, they moved from the City of New Haven Connecticut, to an old farmhouse with a lot of land, outside the city limits. Since he had been born, his parents had been having him attend church each week and Gabriel was impressed how everyone seemed to look up to the man at the front of the church. At the age of three Gabriel discovered music. He begged the organist and pianist to teach him, if they could. He took to music like a duck takes to water. He fell in love with playing pianos, organs and other keyboard instruments. Then he found someone who taught him the violin. On Sundays when they went to church he kept bugging the organist and pianist to let him play until finally at the age of four he was granted that chance. At the age of four, his father enrolled him into a martial arts schoo to learn to defend himself. Between the age of five and sixteen, he managed to 0ush through school and graduate two years early. They noticed he loved to read and he could read quickly. He also retained all of that information. At Seventeen he entered the Gateway community college in New Haven. He had already planned when classes he would need and he made his schedule to maximize his learning time. For the next four years, he still tore through his classes, working on finishing not one, but. two bachelor's degrees. By this point he knew what he wanted to be when he grew up. Not just a musician, but a preacher as well. And he had his sights set on a doctorate, so people would take him seriously. It was his time at College where he met the lady who would become his wife. With his parents' money, and their connections, he managed to get into Yale. He was taking classes for music and to help him get his masters in both divinity and psychology. The next six years were hard. He pushed himself, losing a lot of sleep and not getting to go have fun on his weekends. Along with his three bachelors. He now had three masters and two PhD’s. One for Music theory and a doctorate of philosophy in religion. But he had one last thing to do. So for the next two years, at the Seminary attached to Yale, he worked to be ordained. At 24 he was a fully ordained reverend for the United Church of Christ. |
